Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Coordinator to join our dynamic team in the transportation and logistics sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, compliance, and a keen understanding of the complexities involved in managing payroll for a diverse workforce. This role is crucial to ensuring that our employees are compensated accurately and promptly, while also adhering to local labor laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing:
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process for a large workforce, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing on a monthly basis.
- Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions, ensuring compliance with company policies and local labor laws.
- Data Management:
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
- Ensure that all payroll data is accurate and securely stored, adhering to data protection regulations.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Stay updated on local labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance related to payroll and employment practices.
- Prepare and submit required payroll reports to government agencies, including tax filings and social security contributions.
- Employee Support:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll, including pay discrepancies, benefits deductions, and tax withholding.
- Provide guidance to employees regarding payroll policies and procedures.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with HR to ensure accurate data entry and management of employee information.
- Collaborate with finance department to reconcile payroll expenses and ensure accurate accounting entries.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist in the implementation of payroll software and systems upgrades as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably within the transportation and logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of UAE labor laws and payroll regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
