Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Operations Manager to oversee and enhance the operational aspects of our healthcare research initiatives in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing research projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and facilitating collaboration among diverse stakeholders. This position requires a strong background in research operations, project management, and healthcare systems, along with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management:
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of research projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, while coordinating with researchers, clinicians, and administrative staff.

2. Operational Oversight:
- Develop and implement operational protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for research activities.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of research projects, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines, regulatory requirements, and institutional policies.

3. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, academic institutions, regulatory bodies, and funding agencies.
- Act as a liaison between researchers and administrative departments to facilitate efficient communication and collaboration.

4. Budget Management:
- Assist in the preparation of research budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
- Identify funding opportunities and assist in grant writing and proposal submissions.

5. Data Management:
- Ensure the integrity and security of research data by implementing appropriate data management practices.
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and dissemination of research findings, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.

6. Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of research coordinators and assistants, providing guidance and support for professional development.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and facilitate training sessions to enhance team capabilities.

7. Quality Assurance:
- Monitor research activities to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and best practices.
- Conduct regular audits of research processes and protocols to identify areas for improvement.

8. Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare comprehensive reports on research progress and outcomes for stakeholders and funding bodies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of research activities, including project plans, meeting notes, and regulatory submissions.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Healthcare, Life Sciences, Public Health). Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in research operations, project management, or a related field, preferably within the healthcare sector.
- Strong understanding of research methodologies, regulatory requirements, and ethical considerations in healthcare research.
- Proven experience in budget management and grant writing.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Proficiency in data management software and research-related technologies.
