Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our team in Al Ain, specializing in the integration of health and wellness within an information technology-focused environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our students, managing medical emergencies, and promoting health education, all while leveraging technology to enhance healthcare delivery in the school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Health Services Management:
- Provide direct nursing care to students and staff, including first aid, health assessments, and management of chronic conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate health records for all students, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to track immunizations, health screenings, and significant health events.

2. Health Education and Promotion:
- Develop and implement health education programs that incorporate technology, such as online resources and educational software, to promote healthy lifestyles among students.
- Conduct workshops and information sessions for students, staff, and parents on various health topics, including nutrition, hygiene, mental health, and disease prevention.

3. Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to address health-related issues and promote a healthy school environment.
- Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care for students with health concerns.

4. Emergency Preparedness:
- Establish and maintain emergency response procedures for health-related incidents, ensuring readiness for medical emergencies.
- Participate in school safety drills and collaborate with local health authorities to develop and implement health emergency plans.

5. Technology Integration:
- Utilize health information technology tools to streamline health service delivery, including telehealth options for remote consultations when appropriate.
- Stay current with advancements in health technology and recommend improvements to enhance the school’s health services.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Current nursing license in the United Arab Emirates.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical or school nursing environment, with a strong preference for experience in health IT integration.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Skills and Competencies:

- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Proficiency in using health information technology and EHR systems.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a school environment, which may include exposure to various health conditions.
- Must be able to respond to emergency situations and provide appropriate care.
