Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Science Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tasks to support clinical and research activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in laboratory procedures and a passion for contributing to healthcare excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and analyze specimens for diagnostic testing, including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring that all instruments are calibrated and functioning properly.
- Conduct routine tests and procedures, accurately recording results and documenting all findings in the laboratory information system.
- Assist in the development and modification of laboratory protocols and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide timely support to clinical teams.
- Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents, placing orders as necessary to avoid shortages.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to uphold the highest standards of laboratory practices.
- Provide technical support and training to junior laboratory staff and interns as needed.
- Stay updated on advancements in laboratory technology and methodologies relevant to the healthcare sector.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant laboratory experience in a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques, including but not limited to, microscopy, hematology, biochemistry, and microbiology.
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems and electronic medical records.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and regulations.
