Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Science Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team in the real estate sector based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our research and development initiatives by conducting laboratory tests, analyzing samples, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct laboratory tests and experiments on building materials, soil, and water samples to assess their quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Prepare and analyze samples using various laboratory techniques and equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning correctly, and perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
- Document and report test results, including data analysis and interpretation, while adhering to strict quality control procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to provide scientific insights and recommendations based on laboratory findings.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new testing methods and protocols to improve efficiency and effectiveness in laboratory operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the laboratory environment, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Maintain an organized laboratory workspace, including proper inventory management of supplies and reagents.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay updated on the latest advancements in laboratory technology and practices.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Material Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years to 5 years of experience as a Science Laboratory Technician or in a similar role, preferably within the real estate or construction industry.
- Proficient in laboratory techniques and equipment, including spectrophotometry, chromatography, and microscopy.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations related to construction materials testing and environmental assessments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and accuracy in conducting tests and reporting findings.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using laboratory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with advanced analytical techniques and equipment.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices and environmental regulations in the real estate sector.
- Certification in laboratory safety and hazardous materials handling.
