Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development and a passion for creating innovative software solutions that enhance our operational efficiency and project management capabilities. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications that meet the demands of our growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and implement high-quality Java applications in accordance with industry best practices and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, business analysts, and other developers, to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Optimize existing applications for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and make recommendations for new tools and processes to improve development efficiency.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and system architecture diagrams.
- Participate in Agile development practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure that the software solutions align with business needs and goals.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, helping them to grow their skills and advance in their careers.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 8 years of experience in Java development.
- Strong proficiency in Java, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
- Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) is a plus.
- Knowledge of database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the construction industry and experience working on construction-related software applications is highly desirable.
