Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai, focusing on the Transportation and Logistics sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development, a passion for innovative solutions, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our technology stack and contributing to the development of systems that optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of transportation and logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, test, and implement software solutions that meet the needs of the transportation and logistics industry.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, operations, and other engineers, to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Maintain and enhance existing applications while ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Implement best practices in coding, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to bring innovative ideas to the team.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and code reviews to improve team productivity and code quality.
- Prepare technical documentation and user manuals for software applications.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 to 7 years of professional experience in software development, preferably within the transportation and logistics sector.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
- Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks) and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling.
- Understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics software solutions is a plus.
