### Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team in Sharjah. This unique role will support individuals in the construction industry who may be facing communication challenges due to various factors, including occupational hazards or stress-related issues. The ideal candidate will work closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to enhance the communication skills of our clients and improve their overall quality of life.

### Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in Client Assessment: Support Speech-Language Pathologists in assessing clients’ speech, language, and communication needs, including conducting pre-assessments and collecting relevant data.

- Implement Therapy Plans: Follow and implement individualized therapy plans developed by the Speech-Language Pathologist, ensuring that clients receive appropriate exercises and interventions.

- Conduct Therapy Sessions: Lead group and individual therapy sessions under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist, focusing on speech production, language development, and social communication skills.

- Monitor Progress: Document and track clients' progress during therapy sessions, providing detailed reports to the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist regarding the effectiveness of interventions and any changes in client performance.

- Educate Clients and Families: Provide education and resources to clients and their families about speech and language disorders, effective communication strategies, and ways to support progress at home.

- Maintain Client Records: Ensure accurate and confidential documentation of client assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to professional and ethical standards.

- Collaborate with Other Professionals: Work collaboratively with other healthcare and rehabilitation professionals within the construction industry to ensure comprehensive care for clients, participating in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.

- Support Workplace Communication: Assist in developing programs aimed at improving communication skills within the workplace, helping to reduce misunderstandings and enhance teamwork among construction staff.

- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest research and best practices in speech therapy, particularly as it pertains to occupational health and safety in the construction sector.

### Qualifications:

- A degree or certification in Speech Therapy Assistance or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a speech therapy or related setting, preferably with experience in occupational health or rehabilitation.
- Knowledge of speech and language disorders and the ability to implement therapy techniques effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Familiarity with the construction industry and its associated communication challenges is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including potential evening or weekend sessions as required.
