Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapy Assistant to join our team in Sharjah, focusing on the unique communication needs within the agricultural sector. This role will involve working closely with speech therapists to support individuals who may experience speech and language difficulties related to the agricultural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist Speech Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for clients, particularly those who may have communication challenges due to agricultural-related factors.
- Conduct screenings and assessments under the supervision of a licensed Speech Therapist to identify speech and language disorders.
- Support therapy sessions by preparing materials, setting up equipment, and maintaining a positive and encouraging environment for clients.
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and outcomes to assist in modifying treatment plans.
- Educate clients and their families about speech and language disorders, including strategies to improve communication skills in agricultural settings.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and agricultural specialists, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
- Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about the importance of speech and language development in the context of agriculture.
- Stay updated on the latest techniques and research in speech therapy, particularly as it relates to agricultural practices and lifestyles.

Qualifications:

- A degree or certification in Speech Therapy Assistance or a related field.
- A minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within agricultural settings or with clients in farming communities.
- Strong understanding of speech and language development, as well as common disorders that may be encountered in agricultural environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English is preferred.

- Patience and empathy towards clients with communication challenges.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to motivate and encourage clients during therapy sessions.
- Basic knowledge of agriculture and its impact on communication needs is a plus.
