Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Theater Assistant to join our dynamic team in the construction sector. The ideal candidate will support the planning, organization, and execution of theatrical events within construction sites and facilities. This role is essential for ensuring that all aspects of the theater setup run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to a professional and engaging environment for both workers and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Event Coordination: Assist in the planning and coordination of theatrical events, workshops, and presentations related to construction projects, ensuring all logistical aspects are managed effectively.
- Setup and Maintenance: Oversee the setup of staging, lighting, sound systems, and seating arrangements. Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and assist in troubleshooting any issues that may arise during events.
- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance during rehearsals and performances, including operating sound and lighting equipment under the direction of the event coordinator or technical director.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various teams, including project managers, architects, and design teams, to ensure that all theatrical elements align with project goals and safety regulations.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of theater equipment and supplies, including props, costumes, and technical gear. Responsible for ordering and restocking as necessary.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring that all events comply with local laws and organizational policies.
- Customer Service: Serve as the point of contact for participants and attendees, providing exceptional customer service and support before, during, and after events.
- Documentation: Assist in the documentation of events through photography and video recording, as well as maintaining records of equipment usage and event feedback.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts, Event Management, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in event coordination, technical theater support, or related roles in the construction or entertainment industry.
- Strong understanding of theatrical production elements, including staging, lighting, sound, and visual presentation.
- Proficient in the use of audio-visual equipment and software.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for events.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the construction and entertainment sectors.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus.
