Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant to join our dynamic team in Dubai's manufacturing sector. This role plays a critical part in supporting the underwriting process by assisting underwriters in assessing risk and determining coverage for various manufacturing projects and policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist underwriters in evaluating insurance applications for manufacturing clients by gathering and analyzing relevant data.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis on manufacturing processes, risk factors, and historical claims data to aid in underwriting decisions.
- Prepare and maintain accurate underwriting records, files, and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support the underwriting team in preparing quotes and proposals for clients, ensuring all necessary information is included and presented clearly.
- Communicate with insurance brokers and clients to gather additional information, clarify details, and address any queries related to underwriting processes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of underwriting guidelines and procedures specific to the manufacturing sector.
- Participate in risk assessment meetings and contribute insights based on research and data analysis.
- Monitor and track pending applications, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of outstanding issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to manufacturing insurance underwriting.
- Provide administrative support to the underwriting department as required, including scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and managing correspondence.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 7 years of experience in underwriting, insurance, or a related field, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiar with underwriting software and databases.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
