Job Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Weather Forecaster to join our team in Dubai, focusing on the educational sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing meteorological data, interpreting weather patterns, and providing accurate weather forecasts to support educational institutions, outdoor events, and other stakeholders within the community. This role is essential in creating a safe and effective learning environment by ensuring that weather-related decisions are data-driven and timely.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze and interpret meteorological data and weather models to provide accurate and timely forecasts.
- Prepare detailed weather reports that include temperature, precipitation, wind speeds, and severe weather warnings.
- Collaborate with educational institutions to create weather-related educational programs and materials for students and staff.
- Conduct presentations and workshops on weather forecasting and climate awareness for schools and community organizations.
- Monitor and evaluate current weather conditions and trends, providing updates as necessary to relevant stakeholders.
- Utilize various meteorological tools and software to enhance forecasting accuracy.
- Respond promptly to inquiries regarding weather conditions and forecasts from educational institutions and other community members.
- Stay informed about advancements in meteorology and incorporate new techniques into forecasting practices.
- Collaborate with local government and emergency services to ensure preparedness for severe weather events affecting schools and the community.
- Participate in community outreach efforts to promote weather education and safety awareness.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in weather forecasting or a related field.
- Proficiency in meteorological software and tools used for data analysis and forecasting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Experience in an educational setting or familiarity with educational programs is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

- Knowledge of local weather patterns specific to the Middle East and Dubai.
- Experience in public speaking or conducting educational workshops.
- Familiarity with climate change issues and their impact on education and community safety.
