Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Application Support Assistant to join our dynamic team in the Transportation and Logistics sector based in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing technical support and assistance for our application systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively. This position involves troubleshooting issues, assisting users, and collaborating with various departments to enhance our application functionalities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Technical Support: Provide first-level technical support for application users, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to application functionality and performance.

- Troubleshooting: Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot application issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize disruption to operations.

- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user manuals, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides to assist users and improve support processes.

- User Training: Conduct training sessions for end-users to enhance their understanding of application features and functionalities, fostering a more efficient use of the systems.

- Collaboration: Work closely with the IT team and other departments to facilitate system enhancements, updates, and integrations that align with business needs.

- System Monitoring: Regularly monitor application performance, user feedback, and system logs to proactively identify and address potential issues before they affect operations.

- Reporting: Generate reports on application performance, user issues, and resolution times, providing insights to management for continuous improvement.

- Project Involvement: Participate in application deployment and upgrade projects, assisting with testing, data migration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

- Customer Service: Maintain a high level of customer service by responding promptly to user requests and ensuring a positive user experience.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in application support, preferably within the transportation and logistics industry.

- Strong understanding of application troubleshooting methodologies and experience with support ticketing systems.

- Familiarity with database management and basic SQL querying is an advantage.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
