We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Art Conservator to join our telecommunications company based in Dubai. As an Art Conservator, you will be responsible for the conservation and restoration of a wide range of artwork and cultural heritage objects within our corporate collection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing and documenting the condition of artworks and cultural objects in the collection
- Developing and implementing conservation treatment plans to preserve and restore artworks
- Conducting research and analysis to inform conservation decisions
- Collaborating with curators, art handlers, and other stakeholders to ensure the proper care and handling of artworks
- Monitoring environmental conditions and implementing preventive conservation measures
- Maintaining detailed records of all conservation activities
- Providing guidance on the display and storage of artworks to prevent damage
- Participating in the planning and execution of exhibitions and special projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Art Conservation, Fine Arts, or related field
- Minimum of 3-8 years of experience in art conservation
- Proven expertise in the conservation of a variety of materials, including paintings, sculptures, textiles, and works on paper
- Strong knowledge of conservation principles, techniques, and ethics
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
