We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Underwriter to join our dynamic retail underwriting team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will assist in the evaluation and assessment of insurance applications, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines while providing exceptional service to our clients and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

- Application Review: Assist in the analysis of insurance applications, assessing risk factors and gathering relevant information to support underwriting decisions.
- Data Entry and Management: Accurately input and maintain records of applications, policy details, and client information in underwriting systems.
- Risk Assessment: Collaborate with underwriters to evaluate risks associated with potential clients, utilizing data analytics and market research to inform decisions.
- Documentation: Prepare and review underwriting documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Client Communication: Support the underwriting team in communicating with clients and brokers, addressing inquiries, and providing updates on application statuses.
- Collaboration: Work closely with underwriters and other departments (e.g., claims, actuarial) to enhance workflow efficiency and improve overall service delivery.
- Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development initiatives to enhance underwriting skills and industry knowledge.
- Reporting: Assist in the generation of reports related to underwriting activities, including performance metrics and risk assessments, to support management decisions.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Insurance, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in underwriting or a related role, preferably within the retail insurance sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with underwriting software and databases.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
