Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Auctioneer to join our team in the manufacturing sector based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the auction process, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for the manufacturing industry. You will be responsible for conducting live and online auctions, engaging potential buyers, and maximizing revenue from auction sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct live and online auctions with professionalism and enthusiasm, engaging with bidders to create an exciting auction atmosphere.
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential buyers, sellers, and industry stakeholders to expand the auction network and enhance participation.
- Prepare detailed auction catalogs that include descriptions, photographs, and relevant information about the items being auctioned, ensuring accuracy and appeal.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to understand the products being auctioned and effectively communicate their value to potential buyers.
- Provide real-time updates during auctions to keep bidders informed and engaged.
- Negotiate with bidders to close sales and ensure that all transactions are completed smoothly and professionally.
- Stay informed about market trends and pricing within the manufacturing sector to provide valuable insights to clients and maximize auction outcomes.
- Handle post-auction responsibilities including invoicing, payment processing, and item delivery coordination.
- Maintain compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to auctions and sales.
- Conduct market research to identify potential items for future auctions and develop strategies to attract high-value consignments.
- Participate in marketing and promotional activities to increase auction visibility and attract new bidders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 8 years of experience in auctioneering, sales, or a related field, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of successful auction sales and bidder engagement.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills; able to articulate product value convincingly.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using auction software and online bidding platforms.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the manufacturing industry and a genuine interest in auction dynamics will be a significant advantage.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic or other languages is a plus.
