Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Biophysicist to join our dynamic team in the Aerospace and Defense sector based in Dubai. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research and development projects that intersect biology, physics, and engineering. This role will involve applying biophysical principles to solve complex challenges related to materials, sensors, and systems used in aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct advanced research on biological systems and their interactions with physical environments, focusing on applications relevant to aerospace and defense technologies.
- Develop and implement experimental protocols to study the biophysical properties of materials, including biomaterials, smart materials, and nanostructures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, and researchers to innovate and improve product designs and processes.
- Analyze and interpret complex data using statistical methods and computational tools, ensuring accurate and reliable results that inform project direction.
- Design and optimize biophysical experiments, utilizing techniques such as spectroscopy, microscopy, and molecular modeling.
- Present findings and technical reports to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, enhancing understanding of biophysical phenomena and their implications for product development.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in biophysics, materials science, and aerospace technologies to apply new knowledge to ongoing projects.
- Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and funding applications to support research initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all laboratory and fieldwork.

Qualifications:

- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Biophysics, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a research or industry setting, preferably within aerospace and defense.
- Strong background in biophysical techniques and methodologies, with hands-on experience in laboratory settings.
- Proficiency in data analysis software and programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, or R.
- Familiarity with materials characterization techniques, including X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, and spectroscopy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to complex scientific challenges.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality assurance processes in the aerospace and defense industry is an advantage.
