Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Caterer Assistant to join our dynamic team in the construction industry in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a supportive role in ensuring that all catering operations run smoothly, contributing to the overall well-being of our workforce on-site. This position requires a proactive individual who can assist in food preparation, serving, and maintaining cleanliness in catering areas, all while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the head caterer in the preparation and presentation of meals and snacks for construction staff, ensuring high standards of food quality and hygiene.
- Help in the setup and breakdown of catering areas before and after service, including arranging tables, chairs, and serving stations.
- Serve food and beverages to staff, ensuring timely and efficient service during meal times.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed, ensuring all necessary items are available for daily operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Follow all food safety protocols and health regulations to ensure a safe dining experience for all employees.
- Assist in the planning and execution of special events, such as team-building lunches or safety meetings, by coordinating catering logistics.
- Collaborate with the catering team to address any employee dietary restrictions or preferences, ensuring that everyone is accommodated.
- Support the head caterer in maintaining accurate records of food preparation and inventory management.
- Provide excellent customer service to staff members, addressing any concerns or requests promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional culinary training or certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a catering or food service role, preferably within a construction or industrial environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse teams and individuals.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and perform manual labor as required.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
