Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Caterer Assistant to join our dynamic catering team in the financial services sector in Dubai. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation, setup, and service of food and beverages for various corporate events, meetings, and functions. This role is vital in ensuring that all catering operations run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the catering team in preparing and organizing food and beverage items for various events, including corporate meetings, conferences, and special functions.
- Set up and break down catering stations, including tables, linens, utensils, and serving equipment.
- Ensure food presentation is of the highest quality and meets company standards.
- Serve food and beverages to clients and guests, ensuring prompt and courteous service at all times.
- Monitor food quality and safety, following proper food handling protocols and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with the catering manager and team to coordinate event details, including menu selections and special requests from clients.
- Assist in inventory management, including tracking supplies, placing orders, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
- Provide support during events by responding to guest inquiries and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils before, during, and after service.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the catering manager.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional culinary or hospitality training is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a catering, food service, or hospitality role.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items and stand for long periods.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
