Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Coding Specialist to join our dynamic team in the retail sector based in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will have experience in coding and data entry, with a strong understanding of retail operations and inventory management systems. This role is critical in ensuring accurate data entry, coding of products, and maintaining the integrity of our retail databases.

Key Responsibilities:

- Data Entry and Coding: Accurately enter and code product information into the inventory management system, ensuring that all data is up-to-date and error-free.
- Product Management: Collaborate with the merchandising team to categorize products appropriately, ensuring all items are coded according to established guidelines and standards.
- Quality Assurance: Perform regular audits of the database to identify and correct discrepancies in product information, pricing, and inventory levels.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze reports related to inventory levels, sales trends, and product performance to support decision-making processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including sales, procurement, and IT, to streamline data management processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Training and Support: Assist in training new staff on coding procedures and the use of inventory management systems.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in coding and data management, recommending improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a coding or data entry role, preferably in the retail industry.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with retail point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Knowledge of barcode scanning technology and inventory control best practices.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.

Working Conditions:

- This position may require occasional overtime during peak retail seasons.
- Work will be performed in an office environment within a retail setting.
