Position Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Cruise Director to join our educational cruise program based in the vibrant city of Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall management and execution of our innovative educational cruises, which aim to provide enriching learning experiences for students and educators alike. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for education and travel.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Development and Management:
- Design, implement, and evaluate educational cruise itineraries that align with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
- Collaborate with educators, subject matter experts, and local institutions to incorporate relevant educational content into cruise activities.
- Ensure all educational materials and resources are prepared and available for participants.

2. Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead a diverse team of educators, facilitators, and support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for crew members to ensure high-quality educational delivery.
- Monitor team performance and provide guidance to enhance the effectiveness of educational experiences.

3. Guest Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for participants, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, educators, and parents to foster a sense of community and engagement.
- Collect feedback from participants to continuously improve the educational offerings and overall cruise experience.

4. Logistics and Operations:
- Oversee the logistical aspects of the cruise, including scheduling, transportation, accommodation, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate with various departments (catering, entertainment, etc.) to ensure seamless operation of the cruise program.
- Manage budgetary requirements, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high standards of quality.

5. Marketing and Promotion:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote educational cruise offerings through various channels, including social media, newsletters, and educational fairs.
- Represent the organization at educational conferences and events to build awareness and attract potential participants.

6. Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulations related to maritime travel and educational activities.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to protect the well-being of all participants.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Tourism, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in educational program management or related fields, preferably within the travel or tourism industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
- Proven organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with educational technology tools.
- Knowledge of maritime regulations and safety procedures is an asset.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
