Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Cultural Resource Manager to join our team in Abu Dhabi within the Consumer Goods sector. This role is crucial in promoting and preserving cultural heritage while aligning with the company's brand values and consumer expectations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of local cultural nuances and will be responsible for integrating cultural insights into product development, marketing strategies, and community engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cultural Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement cultural resource strategies that align with overall business objectives and promote cultural awareness within the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cultural considerations are integrated into product design, packaging, and marketing.
2. Research and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough research on local cultural practices, traditions, and consumer behaviors to inform product development and marketing campaigns.
- Analyze market trends and consumer insights to identify opportunities for culturally relevant products and initiatives.
3. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with local cultural institutions, community leaders, and stakeholders to foster collaboration and promote cultural initiatives.
- Organize and facilitate workshops, seminars, and community events to engage consumers and educate them about cultural heritage.
4. Content Development:
- Create and curate culturally relevant content for marketing materials, social media, and internal communications.
- Ensure that all communication reflects the company’s commitment to cultural sensitivity and inclusivity.
5. Compliance and Best Practices:
- Ensure that all products and marketing strategies comply with local cultural norms and regulations.
- Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in cultural resource management within the consumer goods industry.
6. Training and Development:
- Develop training programs for staff on cultural sensitivity, awareness, and best practices.
- Mentor and guide team members on integrating cultural insights into their work processes.
7. Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor the impact of cultural initiatives and provide regular reports to senior management on progress and outcomes.
- Utilize feedback and data to refine strategies and enhance cultural engagement efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Studies, Anthropology, Marketing, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in cultural resource management, marketing, or a related field, preferably within the consumer goods sector.
- Strong understanding of local cultural contexts and consumer behavior in the Middle East.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with digital marketing tools.
