Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Center Technician Assistant to join our dynamic team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of our data center, ensuring the reliable performance of our IT infrastructure in line with the specific needs of the pharmaceutical industry. Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the data center, including monitoring systems, maintaining servers, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, storage systems, and networking equipment.
- Collaborate with senior technicians to conduct regular maintenance checks and performance monitoring of data center equipment.
- Aid in the implementation of data backup and disaster recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Respond to alerts and incidents related to data center operations and escalate issues as necessary.
- Participate in the management of inventory for all data center equipment and supplies, ensuring all assets are accounted for and properly maintained.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices, particularly those pertaining to data security and IT governance in the pharmaceutical sector.
- Assist with the documentation of procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to enhance knowledge sharing within the team.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support projects and initiatives related to data management, storage solutions, and system upgrades.
- Maintain a clean and organized data center environment, adhering to safety and operational protocols.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in a data center or IT support role, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of server hardware, networking principles, and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with data center management tools and monitoring software.
- Basic knowledge of operating systems, including Windows and Linux, is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call duties as needed.
