Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Diversity Manager to join our team in Dubai's vibrant retail sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing diversity and inclusion initiatives that promote a culture of respect, understanding, and inclusivity. This role will focus on fostering an environment where all employees can thrive and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy Development:
- Design and implement a comprehensive diversity and inclusion strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.
- Identify key diversity metrics and set measurable goals to track progress and impact.
2. Policy and Program Implementation:
- Lead the development of policies that promote diversity and inclusion, ensuring they are effectively communicated and enforced across all levels of the organization.
- Develop and launch employee training programs focused on diversity awareness, unconscious bias, and cultural competency.
3. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with senior leadership, HR, and department heads to integrate diversity initiatives into the company’s recruitment, retention, and employee development strategies.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all diversity and inclusion-related matters, providing guidance and support to employees and management.
4. Community Engagement:
- Build partnerships with local organizations, educational institutions, and community groups to promote diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Organize events, workshops, and seminars aimed at celebrating diversity and educating staff on various cultural, racial, and gender issues.
5. Research and Reporting:
- Conduct regular assessments and surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of diversity programs and initiatives.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management outlining progress, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
6. Advocacy and Awareness:
- Champion diversity and inclusion within the organization and represent the company at external events and forums.
- Promote a culture of open dialogue around diversity issues, encouraging employees to share their perspectives and experiences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in diversity and inclusion, human resources, or a related area, ideally within the retail sector.
- Strong understanding of diversity and inclusion best practices, trends, and legal requirements.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing diversity training programs and initiatives.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively across various departments and levels of the organization.
Skills:
- Multilingual proficiency is a plus, particularly in Arabic and English.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Passion for fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
