Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Exercise Coordinator to join our dynamic team in the energy sector. The Exercise Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing various training and emergency response exercises aimed at enhancing the preparedness and safety of our personnel and operations. This role is critical in ensuring that our team is well-equipped to handle real-life scenarios effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

- Exercise Planning and Development:
- Design and develop exercise scenarios that align with organizational objectives and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify training needs and objectives.
- Create detailed exercise plans, including logistics, resources, and timelines.

- Execution of Exercises:
- Coordinate and oversee the execution of emergency response drills, tabletop exercises, and full-scale simulations.
- Facilitate exercise briefings, debriefings, and feedback sessions to ensure all participants understand their roles and responsibilities.

- Evaluation and Reporting:
- Monitor and assess the performance of participants during exercises, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
- Prepare comprehensive reports documenting the outcomes of exercises, including recommendations for future training.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations throughout all exercises.

- Training and Development:
- Provide training and guidance to staff on emergency response protocols and procedures.
- Develop training materials and resources to support continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into exercise planning and execution.

- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities, emergency services, and regulatory agencies, to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Foster a culture of safety and preparedness within the organization by promoting active participation in exercises.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Sports Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in exercise coordination, emergency management, or training within the energy sector or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of emergency response protocols, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Proven ability to develop and implement training programs and exercises effectively.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with exercise management software is a plus.
