Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Fitness Assistant to join our team in the pharmaceutical sector in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a passion for health and fitness, a solid understanding of wellness principles, and the ability to provide support to our clients and employees in achieving their fitness goals. This role involves assisting with fitness programs, providing guidance on exercise regimens, and promoting a healthy lifestyle within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Client Support: Assist clients and employees in understanding and implementing personalized fitness programs tailored to their individual needs and goals.

- Fitness Assessments: Conduct initial fitness assessments and evaluations to establish baseline measurements and track progress over time.

- Program Development: Collaborate with fitness trainers and health professionals to develop and modify fitness programs, ensuring they are aligned with the latest health and wellness trends.

- Group Classes: Lead and facilitate group exercise classes, workshops, and wellness seminars to promote physical activity and healthy living within the workplace.

- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all fitness equipment is maintained, cleaned, and in safe working condition. Report any issues or repairs needed to the appropriate personnel.

- Health Education: Provide educational materials and resources on nutrition, exercise, and overall wellness to support clients in making informed health choices.

- Motivation and Guidance: Offer motivation, encouragement, and support to clients, helping them stay committed to their fitness journeys.

- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of client progress, attendance, and fitness assessments, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.

- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments within the organization to promote a culture of health and wellness, including participating in health fairs and corporate wellness initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Promotion, or a related field (preferred).

- Certification in personal training, group fitness instruction, or a related fitness credential (e.g., ACE, NASM, ISSA).

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fitness assistant or personal training role, preferably within a corporate or pharmaceutical setting.

- Strong knowledge of exercise techniques, fitness assessments, and nutrition principles.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.

- Proficient in using fitness equipment and technology, including fitness tracking apps and devices.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

- First Aid and CPR certification is an advantage.
