Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fundraising Assistant to support our fundraising efforts in the education sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the planning, execution, and evaluation of fundraising initiatives aimed at increasing financial support for our educational programs. This role will involve collaboration with various stakeholders, including donors, community organizations, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fundraising Support: Assist in the development and implementation of fundraising strategies and campaigns to meet organizational goals.
- Donor Relations: Maintain and update donor records in the database, ensuring all interactions are documented accurately. Assist in donor communications, including thank you letters, newsletters, and event invitations.
- Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of fundraising events, including logistics, marketing, and volunteer coordination. Help manage event budgets and track expenses.
- Marketing and Outreach: Contribute to the creation of promotional materials for fundraising initiatives. Assist with social media campaigns and other outreach efforts to engage potential donors and supporters.
- Research and Reporting: Conduct research on potential funding sources, including foundations, corporations, and individual donors. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate fundraising progress and results to stakeholders.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the fundraising team, including scheduling meetings, preparing meeting agendas, and taking minutes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with program staff to understand funding needs and priorities. Collaborate with other departments to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 7 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, or a related field, preferably within the education sector.
- Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with fundraising software or donor management systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of current trends in fundraising and philanthropy is a plus.
