Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Hearing Aid Technician to join our dynamic team in the construction industry in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and maintaining hearing aids for clients, ensuring optimal performance and satisfaction. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, client interaction, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with hearing impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hearing Aid Fitting and Maintenance: Assemble, fit, and calibrate hearing aids according to individual client needs. Provide regular maintenance and troubleshooting services to ensure devices are functioning correctly.
- Client Consultation: Conduct assessments and consultations with clients to understand their hearing needs and preferences. Explain the features and benefits of various hearing aid options.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support for clients, including troubleshooting issues and offering solutions for device performance concerns. Educate clients on proper use and care of hearing aids.
- Device Calibration: Utilize specialized equipment to ensure that hearing aids are calibrated accurately for optimal performance. Adjust settings as necessary based on client feedback.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an organized inventory of hearing aids, components, and accessories. Order supplies and manage stock levels to ensure timely service delivery.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, device specifications, and service history. Prepare reports as required for management review.
- Training and Development: Stay updated with the latest advancements in hearing aid technology and participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, such as audiologists and doctors, to ensure comprehensive care for clients with hearing impairments.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or Associate degree in Hearing Aid Technology, Audiology, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in hearing aid technology or a related field, ideally within the construction industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing hearing aids, as well as familiarity with calibration equipment.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in technical work and client interactions.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus.
Working Conditions:
