Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hearing Instrument Specialist to join our dynamic team in Dubai, focusing on the agricultural sector. As a Hearing Instrument Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals working in agriculture by providing expert advice, fitting, and servicing of hearing aids and other auditory devices. Your expertise will directly contribute to the health and safety of our agricultural workforce, ensuring they can perform their duties effectively in diverse environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough hearing assessments for clients in agricultural settings to determine the extent of hearing loss and recommend appropriate hearing solutions.

- Fitting and Calibration: Provide personalized fitting and calibration of hearing instruments, ensuring optimal performance and comfort for clients in various agricultural roles.

- Client Education: Educate clients on the use and maintenance of hearing aids, including proper handling, cleaning, and troubleshooting techniques.

- Follow-Up Care: Provide ongoing support and follow-up care for clients to monitor their progress and make necessary adjustments to hearing devices.

- Collaboration: Work closely with agricultural health and safety professionals to develop programs that address hearing conservation and protection in noisy environments.

- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting assessments, fittings, and follow-up visits in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

- Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest advancements in hearing technology and agricultural equipment to provide clients with the most effective solutions.

- Community Outreach: Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about hearing health and the importance of protecting auditory function in noisy agricultural environments.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Audiology, Hearing Instrument Sciences, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Hearing Instrument Specialist, preferably within the agricultural industry or a similar setting.
- Certification as a Hearing Instrument Specialist from a recognized institution is required.
- Strong knowledge of hearing aid technology, fitting techniques, and audiometric testing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient in using computer software for client assessments and record-keeping.

Desired Skills:

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to educate and motivate clients about hearing health.
- Familiarity with the unique challenges faced by agricultural workers, especially regarding noise-induced hearing loss.
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus, given the diverse population in Dubai.
