Job Description:
We are seeking a Help Desk Assistant to join our team in Dubai. The Help Desk Assistant will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to students, faculty, and staff in an educational setting. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer service-oriented mindset, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to inquiries and requests for technical assistance via phone, email, or in person
- Provide support for hardware and software issues, including printers, computers, and other technology devices
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and assist with password resets
- Assist with setting up and configuring new devices for users
- Maintain accurate records of all help desk interactions and resolutions
- Escalate complex technical issues to the IT team for further investigation
- Provide training and guidance to users on how to use technology effectively
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- [3-5] years of experience in a help desk or technical support role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other commonly used software applications
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices is a plus
