Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to oversee our inventory management processes within the financial services sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of inventory operations, maintaining optimal stock levels, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in inventory management software, and a solid understanding of financial principles.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to inventory management.
2. Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze inventory data and generate reports to provide insights into stock trends, turnover rates, and financial impacts.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to assess inventory valuation and contribute to financial forecasting.
3. Supplier and Vendor Coordination:
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms.
- Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvement plans as necessary to enhance operational efficiency.
4. Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline inventory workflows and reduce costs.
- Utilize technology and inventory management systems to enhance tracking and reporting capabilities.
5. Team Leadership:
- Lead a team of inventory personnel, providing training and guidance to ensure high performance and adherence to best practices.
- Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages continuous improvement and professional development.
6. Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Work closely with the finance, operations, and compliance teams to align inventory management strategies with organizational goals.
- Support project initiatives that require inventory assessments and resource allocation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards related to inventory management.
- Experience in implementing inventory optimization strategies and best practices.
