We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Aide to join our team in an educational setting in Dubai. The Mental Health Aide will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide support and assistance to those struggling with mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional support and guidance to students experiencing mental health challenges
- Collaborate with school counselors and psychologists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Monitor and track student progress and communicate regularly with teachers and parents
- Conduct group therapy sessions and facilitate support groups for students
- Assist in crisis intervention and provide immediate support to students in distress
- Educate students, teachers, and parents on mental health issues and resources available for support
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in mental health care
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a mental health or counseling role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment options
- Familiarity with child and adolescent development
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
