Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Merchant Marine professional to join our Healthcare Division based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating the transportation of medical supplies, equipment, and personnel to various healthcare facilities, ensuring timely and efficient maritime logistics that support the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities:

- Logistics Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee the transportation of healthcare supplies and equipment via maritime routes, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

- Vessel Operations: Operate and manage vessels used for transporting healthcare materials, ensuring that all operations are efficient, cost-effective, and in line with maritime regulations.

- Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with healthcare providers, suppliers, and port authorities to optimize supply chain processes and ensure the timely delivery of medical goods.

- Safety Compliance: Enforce and adhere to all safety protocols and maritime regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all crew members involved in healthcare logistics.

- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of shipments, routes, and cargo manifests. Prepare regular reports on delivery statuses and operational efficiency.

- Emergency Response: Be prepared for emergency situations by developing and implementing contingency plans for medical supply deliveries in case of unforeseen circumstances.

- Team Leadership: Supervise and train crew members on vessel operations, safety protocols, and healthcare logistics best practices.

- Client Interaction: Liaise with healthcare clients to understand their needs and provide solutions for their maritime transport requirements.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years and maximum of 7 years of experience in maritime operations, preferably within the healthcare logistics sector.
- Valid maritime certification and licenses as required by UAE regulations.
- Strong understanding of maritime laws, safety standards, and healthcare logistics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with healthcare providers and team members.
- Proficient in using logistics software and maritime navigation tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
