Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Midwife to join our healthcare team in Sharjah, focused on providing exceptional maternal and neonatal care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to promoting healthy pregnancies, safe deliveries, and ensuring the well-being of both mothers and infants. As a Midwife, you will work in a supportive environment, collaborating with healthcare professionals and engaging with families to deliver personalized care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to pregnant women.
- Conduct thorough assessments of maternal health and fetal development throughout pregnancy.
- Assist in labor and delivery, providing emotional support and clinical expertise to ensure safe childbirth.
- Educate expectant mothers on pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
- Develop individualized care plans based on the specific needs of mothers and infants.
- Monitor and document patients' progress and respond to any complications or emergencies promptly.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Facilitate group prenatal classes and workshops to promote maternal health and wellness.
- Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences, ensuring informed decision-making throughout the childbirth process.
- Stay current with advancements in midwifery practices and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery or a related field.
- Valid midwifery license in the UAE.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in midwifery practice, preferably in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of prenatal, perinatal, and postnatal care standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other relevant healthcare technologies.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in a multicultural environment.
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in midwifery and maternal health.
- Additional certifications in lactation consulting, neonatal resuscitation, or other related fields.

Working Conditions:

- The role may require working shifts, including nights and weekends, depending on patient needs.
- You will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced healthcare environment with a focus on maternal and child health.
