Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Outdoor Recreation Leader to join our educational team in Dubai. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about outdoor activities and education, and who possess strong leadership skills to inspire and guide students in various recreational pursuits.

Key Responsibilities:

- Program Development: Design and implement engaging outdoor recreation programs that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and environmental awareness among students. Activities may include hiking, camping, rock climbing, water sports, and team-building exercises.

- Instruction and Leadership: Lead outdoor activities and ensure the safety and well-being of all participants. Provide instruction in outdoor skills, including navigation, first aid, and environmental stewardship.

- Safety Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments for all outdoor activities. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols, and maintain first aid and emergency response readiness.

- Student Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student participation and personal growth. Adapt activities to meet the diverse needs and skill levels of participants.

- Collaboration: Work closely with educators and school administration to integrate outdoor recreation into the curriculum. Collaborate with other departments to promote interdisciplinary learning through outdoor experiences.

- Community Outreach: Establish partnerships with local outdoor organizations and community resources to enhance program offerings and provide students with access to external outdoor experiences.

- Assessment and Evaluation: Monitor student progress and provide feedback on individual and group performance. Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements based on student and parent feedback.

- Resource Management: Oversee the maintenance and inventory of outdoor equipment and supplies. Ensure that all equipment is safe, functional, and appropriate for student use.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Outdoor Recreation, Recreation Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in outdoor recreation leadership or a related field, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of outdoor activities, safety protocols, and environmental stewardship practices.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR (or equivalent) is required; additional certifications in outdoor leadership (e.g., Wilderness First Responder, Outdoor Education) are a plus.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Proficiency in Arabic is an advantage but not mandatory.

- Passion for outdoor activities and education.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly in emergency situations.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for outdoor events and programs.

Working Conditions:

This position requires a significant amount of time spent outdoors in various weather conditions. The Outdoor Recreation Leader must be prepared for physical activity and may be required to lift and carry equipment.
