Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Photogrammetrist to join our team in Sharjah, focusing on educational projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in photogrammetry, remote sensing, and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) to support the development of innovative educational content and spatial analysis projects. The Photogrammetrist will be responsible for capturing, processing, and analyzing aerial and terrestrial imagery to create accurate, scale-based models and maps that will enhance educational experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

- Data Acquisition: Collect high-resolution aerial and terrestrial images using drones, cameras, and other imaging technologies for educational projects.
- Image Processing: Utilize photogrammetric software to process images, create 3D models, and generate maps. Ensure accuracy and precision in the output data.
- Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze spatial data to derive meaningful insights for educational applications. Collaborate with educators to identify how photogrammetric data can enhance learning materials and methodologies.
- Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to educators and students in the use of photogrammetric tools and techniques.
- Collaboration: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including educators, curriculum developers, and IT specialists, to integrate photogrammetric data into educational resources.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality assurance and control checks on all photogrammetric outputs to ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of data collection, processing methods, and project outcomes. Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Research and Development: Stay updated on the latest advancements in photogrammetry and GIS technology. Explore innovative applications that can enhance educational tools and resources.
- Training and Workshops: Organize and conduct training sessions and workshops for staff and students on photogrammetry techniques and technologies.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years and maximum of 7 years of experience in photogrammetry, remote sensing, or GIS.
- Proficiency in photogrammetric software (e.g., Pix4D, Agisoft Metashape, ArcGIS, etc.) and data processing tools.
- Strong understanding of GPS technology, aerial surveying methods, and image processing techniques.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in an educational environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
