Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Robotics Technician to join our innovative team in Ras Al Khaimah, specializing in the retail sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in robotics and automation technologies, with an emphasis on their application within retail environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Installation and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain robotic systems and automation equipment used within retail operations, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to robotic systems, including hardware malfunctions, software glitches, and integration challenges. Implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.

- System Upgrades: Assist in the planning and execution of upgrades to existing robotic systems, including the installation of new software and hardware components.

- Technical Support: Provide on-site and remote technical support to retail staff regarding the operation of robotic systems. Conduct training sessions for employees to ensure proper usage and maintenance.

- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and product development teams to provide input on robotic technologies and enhancements that align with retail goals.

- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of all maintenance activities, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. Prepare detailed reports on system performance and issues encountered.

- Research and Development: Stay abreast of emerging trends in robotics and automation within the retail industry. Propose innovative solutions that can improve operational efficiency and customer engagement.

- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all robotic systems comply with safety regulations and standards. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments of robotic equipment.

Qualifications:

- Education: Associate's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory.

- Experience: Minimum of 3 years up to 7 years of hands-on experience in robotics, automation, or a related field, preferably within a retail environment.

- Technical Skills: Proficient in robotic programming languages (such as Python, C++, or specific robotic software), electrical systems, and automation technologies. Experience with PLCs and industrial robots is a plus.

- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues quickly and efficiently.

- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.

- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, while also demonstrating the initiative to work independently when necessary.

- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by retail operations.
