Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Manager to join our dynamic team in the Aerospace and Defense sector based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our data management practices, ensuring the integrity, security, and availability of data across various projects and initiatives. This position requires a deep understanding of data governance, analytics, and the specific requirements of the Aerospace and Defense industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement data management strategies that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements specific to the Aerospace and Defense sectors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and ensure data solutions meet business needs.

2. Data Governance:
- Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
- Monitor compliance with data governance practices and regulatory standards relevant to the Aerospace and Defense industry.

3. Data Architecture:
- Design and maintain robust data architecture that supports data storage, retrieval, and analysis.
- Oversee the integration of various data sources and ensure interoperability between systems.

4. Data Analytics and Reporting:
- Lead the development of advanced analytics and reporting capabilities, utilizing data visualization tools and techniques.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic decision-making.

5. Team Leadership:
- Mentor and guide junior data team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Coordinate with IT and other departments to ensure the effective use of data management tools and technologies.

6. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand data needs and provide solutions that drive business objectives.
- Communicate data-related findings and strategies to senior management and other relevant parties.

7. Project Management:
- Manage data-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, analytics, or related fields, preferably in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in data management tools, database systems, and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and analytics platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards, such as ITAR, NIST, or ISO standards, is highly desirable.
