Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Lecturer in Information Technology to join our academic faculty in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education and contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field of Information Technology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage with a diverse student body while fostering an innovative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Teaching: Deliver engaging and impactful lectures, seminars, and workshops across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate Information Technology courses. Develop and update course materials to ensure alignment with industry standards and academic requirements.

- Curriculum Development: Collaborate with faculty members to enhance and innovate the curriculum, incorporating the latest trends and technologies in Information Technology. Ensure programs meet educational standards and the needs of students.

- Research: Conduct original research in the field of Information Technology, publish findings in reputable academic journals, and present at conferences. Supervise student research projects and encourage scholarly inquiry among students.

- Student Support: Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, helping them achieve their educational and career goals. Facilitate a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.

- Collaboration: Work closely with industry partners to create opportunities for student internships, co-op programs, and collaborative projects. Participate in professional organizations and contribute to the academic community.

- Administration: Participate in departmental and university committees, contributing to the governance and strategic development of the institution. Assist in the evaluation of academic programs and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.

Qualifications:

- Education: A Ph.D. or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field.

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years and up to 8 years of teaching experience at the higher education level, with a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and research.

- Expertise: Strong knowledge of current trends in Information Technology, including but not limited to software development, cybersecurity, data science, artificial intelligence, and networking.

- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to engage and inspire students. Strong organizational and time management abilities.

- Commitment to Diversity: A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the academic environment.
