Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Lecturer in Agriculture to join our academic team in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education, conducting impactful research, and contributing to the development of our agricultural programs. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about agriculture and committed to fostering a new generation of agricultural professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching and Curriculum Development:
- Design, deliver, and assess undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Agriculture and related fields.
- Develop innovative and engaging teaching materials and methodologies that enhance student learning experiences.
- Mentor and support students in their academic and professional development.

2. Research and Scholarship:
- Conduct high-quality research in the field of agriculture, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and practices.
- Publish research findings in reputable journals and present at national and international conferences.
- Collaborate with industry partners, government agencies, and other academic institutions to promote applied research initiatives.

3. Program Management:
- Participate in the development and evaluation of agricultural programs to ensure alignment with industry needs and academic standards.
- Engage in curriculum reviews and updates to keep courses relevant and effective.
- Supervise and guide postgraduate students in their research projects and theses.

4. Community Engagement and Outreach:
- Foster relationships with local agricultural organizations, stakeholders, and the community to promote sustainable agricultural practices.
- Organize workshops, seminars, and outreach programs to disseminate knowledge and engage the public in agricultural issues.

5. Administrative Responsibilities:
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and academic governance.
- Contribute to accreditation processes and uphold institutional standards of excellence.
- Assist in the recruitment and training of junior faculty and staff.

Qualifications:

- A Ph.D. in Agriculture or a related field from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in higher education, with a strong background in agricultural sciences.
- Proven track record of research and publications in reputable journals.
- Experience in curriculum development and innovative teaching practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment.
- Familiarity with the agricultural landscape in the UAE and the broader Middle East region is an advantage.
