Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Support Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Transportation and Logistics sector in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a robust technical background and a passion for delivering exceptional customer support. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless operation of our systems and services, providing technical guidance to clients, and implementing solutions to enhance our operational capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Technical Support: Provide advanced technical support to clients and internal teams for transportation and logistics software applications, ensuring timely resolution of issues and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.

- System Monitoring: Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues, working to resolve them before they impact service delivery.

- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems related to software and hardware, including network issues, database performance, and application errors.

- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and troubleshooting procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and support continuity.

- Client Interaction: Liaise with clients to gather requirements, provide updates on ticket status, and ensure that their needs are being met effectively.

- Training & Mentorship: Train and mentor junior support engineers, providing guidance on technical issues and best practices in customer support.

- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and product management, to identify areas for improvement and contribute to ongoing development projects.

- Implementation & Upgrades: Assist in the implementation of new software releases, upgrades, and patches, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.

- Feedback Loop: Gather customer feedback and collaborate with product teams to advocate for improvements and new features based on user experience.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years and maximum of 7 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably within the Transportation and Logistics industry.

- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of software applications relevant to transportation and logistics, databases (SQL), and networking concepts. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and API integrations is a plus.

- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a methodical approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.

- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

- Customer Focus: A customer-centric mindset with a proven track record of building and maintaining positive client relationships.

- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Microsoft Certified, Cisco Certified) are a plus but not mandatory.
