Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Video Game Tester Assistant to join our dynamic team in the energy sector. As a Video Game Tester Assistant, you will play an integral role in ensuring the quality and performance of our innovative gaming products that aim to educate and engage users about energy conservation and sustainability. Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the testing and quality assurance of video games related to energy themes, ensuring they function correctly and provide an engaging user experience.
- Collaborate with the game development team to understand the design and gameplay mechanics, providing feedback on usability and user interface.
- Conduct thorough testing of game features, identifying bugs, glitches, and areas for improvement.
- Document and report issues clearly and accurately using bug tracking software.
- Participate in playtesting sessions, gathering feedback from players and analyzing gameplay data to enhance overall quality.
- Work closely with the lead tester to prioritize testing tasks and maintain a testing schedule.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies throughout the testing process.
- Assist in the creation of test cases, test plans, and test scenarios to guide testing efforts.
- Stay updated on gaming industry trends, technologies, and best practices to contribute innovative ideas to the testing process.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Design, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in video game testing or quality assurance, with a focus on interactive software.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and document issues effectively.
- Familiarity with various gaming platforms (PC, consoles, mobile) and an understanding of different game genres.
- Proficient in using bug tracking systems and testing software.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Passion for video games and a solid understanding of gaming mechanics and design principles.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Skills:

- Experience with scripting or programming languages is a plus.
- Knowledge of energy-related topics and sustainability practices is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
