Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Wine Assistant to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. This unique role merges the worlds of fine wine and telecommunications, providing an opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in wine to apply their knowledge in a corporate environment. The ideal candidate will support our wine-related programs and events, provide exceptional customer service, and assist in managing our wine inventory.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the selection, procurement, and inventory management of wines for corporate events, employee engagement activities, and client meetings.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop wine-related content, promotional materials, and educational resources to enhance employee knowledge and engagement.
- Organize and coordinate wine tastings, events, and training sessions for staff, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries regarding wine selections, pairings, and recommendations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of wine trends, regions, and varietals, and share insights with colleagues and clients to foster a culture of wine appreciation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of wine-related initiatives that align with the company’s corporate social responsibility goals.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations regarding the procurement and serving of alcoholic beverages.
- Support the Wine Manager in administrative tasks, including record-keeping, reporting, and budget management related to wine purchases and events.
- Build and maintain relationships with local wine suppliers and distributors to ensure the best selection and pricing for our needs.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance wine knowledge and customer service skills.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a wine-related role, preferably within a corporate environment or hospitality sector.
- Strong knowledge of wine varietals, regions, and food pairings is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and educate others about wine.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with inventory management software is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required for events.
- Knowledge of local regulations regarding alcohol distribution and serving is an advantage.
