Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Yacht Captain to manage and oversee our luxury yacht operations based in Dubai, with a unique focus on supporting our agricultural initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for maritime activities and a keen interest in sustainable agriculture practices, ensuring that our yacht experiences are not only luxurious but also environmentally responsible.

Key Responsibilities:

- Navigation and Operations:
- Safely navigate the yacht through various waterways and ensure compliance with all maritime regulations and safety standards.
- Plan and execute voyages, considering weather conditions, tides, and other navigational factors to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests and crew.

- Leadership and Crew Management:
- Lead and manage a diverse crew, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high operational standards and teamwork.
- Foster a positive working environment that promotes safety, efficiency, and hospitality.

- Maintenance and Safety:
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of all yacht systems, ensuring that all equipment is in excellent working condition.
- Conduct regular safety drills and ensure that all safety protocols are strictly followed by the crew.

- Guest Relations:
- Provide an exceptional experience for guests by being attentive to their needs and preferences.
- Coordinate onboard activities related to agriculture, such as workshops or educational tours, to promote awareness of sustainable practices.

- Sustainable Practices:
- Implement and monitor sustainable practices on board, including waste management, energy conservation, and eco-friendly materials.
- Collaborate with agricultural experts to integrate educational components related to sustainability during journeys.

- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate logs of all operations, including navigation, maintenance, and guest activities.
- Prepare reports for management regarding the yacht’s performance, guest feedback, and operational challenges.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Yacht Captain or in a similar maritime leadership role.
- Valid STCW (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers) certification.
- Comprehensive knowledge of navigation, maritime regulations, and safety protocols.
- Experience in managing a crew and providing exceptional customer service.
- Strong understanding of sustainable practices, particularly in the context of agriculture and marine environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests and crew members.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working in the luxury yacht sector.
- Knowledge or experience in agricultural practices or sustainability initiatives.
- Additional certifications related to maritime safety or environmental management.
