Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Yacht Captain to oversee the operations of our luxury yacht fleet based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of maritime navigation, safety protocols, and yacht management. As the Yacht Captain, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vessel while providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

- Navigation and Operation:
- Safely navigate the yacht in compliance with maritime regulations and safety standards.
- Plan and execute voyages, including route planning and weather assessments.
- Ensure the yacht’s systems are functioning correctly, including engines, electrical systems, and navigation equipment.

- Safety Management:
- Conduct regular safety drills and ensure the crew is trained in emergency procedures.
- Maintain all safety equipment and ensure compliance with international maritime safety standards.
- Monitor the weather and sea conditions, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure the safety of all onboard.

- Crew Leadership:
- Lead and manage the onboard crew, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
- Organize crew schedules and oversee training and development.
- Foster a positive work environment and ensure high standards of service.

- Guest Relations:
- Provide a high level of customer service to guests, addressing their needs and preferences.
- Coordinate with guests regarding itinerary and activities during the voyage.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and handle any guest feedback or issues promptly.

- Maintenance and Management:
- Oversee routine maintenance and repairs of the yacht, ensuring it is in top condition.
- Keep accurate logs of all operations, maintenance, and incidents.
- Manage inventory and supplies for the yacht, ensuring all necessary provisions are stocked.

- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including customs and immigration procedures.
- Prepare and submit reports on vessel operations, maintenance, and safety drills.

Qualifications:

- Valid Yacht Master certification (or equivalent) and other relevant maritime qualifications.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Yacht Captain or in a similar role.
- Extensive knowledge of navigation, maritime laws, and vessel safety regulations.
- Strong leadership and crew management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Familiarity with maintenance and repair procedures for yachts.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.

Desired Skills:

- Multilingual abilities are a plus, with a preference for English and Arabic.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in using navigation and maritime technology.

Working Conditions:

- This position requires extended periods at sea and may involve travel within the region.
- The Yacht Captain will be expected to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
