Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Development Specialist to join our dynamic Information Technology team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development, project management, and IT solutions, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality software products to meet business needs. This role requires excellent analytical skills, creativity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design, develop, test, and implement software applications and systems, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Maintain and enhance existing software applications by debugging, troubleshooting, and performing root cause analysis.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from requirements gathering through to deployment and post-implementation support.
- Manage software projects, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to propose innovative solutions and improvements.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users, ensuring a smooth transition to new systems and applications.
- Document technical specifications, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and maintain standards.
- Engage in regular code reviews to ensure quality and compliance with established standards.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to integrate external solutions and services.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in software development, with a focus on application design and implementation.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript, and familiar with web development frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and experience in implementing secure coding practices is advantageous.
