Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our facilities management team in the educational sector in Ras Al Khaimah. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within our educational institutions. This role is essential to ensuring the safety, functionality, and efficiency of electrical systems that support our mission of providing quality education.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and power distribution in educational facilities.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs to ensure minimal disruption to educational activities.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems, identifying potential hazards and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to provide timely and effective solutions to electrical problems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed, including materials used and time spent on tasks.
- Assist in the planning and execution of electrical upgrades and renovations as needed.
- Stay updated with the latest electrical codes, regulations, and safety practices.
- Provide support during emergencies, including troubleshooting and repair of electrical failures.
- Educate staff and students on electrical safety practices and procedures.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrician apprenticeship program is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in an educational or institutional setting.
- Valid UAE driver’s license is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety standards.
- Proficient in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and external contractors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

- The role may require working in various environments, including classrooms, laboratories, and outdoor areas.
- Occasional after-hours work may be necessary to minimize disruption to educational activities.
