Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Energy Assistant to join our team in the healthcare sector based in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting our energy management initiatives and sustainability projects to enhance operational efficiency while promoting environmental stewardship within our healthcare facilities. Key Responsibilities:
1. Energy Monitoring and Analysis:
- Assist in the collection, analysis, and reporting of energy consumption data across various healthcare facilities.
- Monitor energy usage patterns and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with the Energy Manager to prepare monthly and quarterly energy performance reports.
2. Sustainability Initiatives:
- Support the implementation of sustainability programs aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of healthcare operations.
- Research and recommend renewable energy solutions and energy-efficient technologies.
- Assist in organizing and promoting awareness campaigns related to energy conservation among staff and patients.
3. Project Support:
- Aid in the planning and execution of energy-related projects, including retrofitting initiatives and equipment upgrades.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with energy efficiency standards and regulations.
- Maintain project documentation and assist in budget tracking and reporting.
4. Data Management:
- Maintain an organized database of energy usage metrics, sustainability initiatives, and related documentation.
- Utilize energy management software and tools to enhance data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
5. Regulatory Compliance:
- Support compliance with local and national energy regulations and standards.
- Stay updated on relevant legislation and best practices to ensure adherence to energy management protocols.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including facilities management, procurement, and clinical staff, to promote energy efficiency practices.
- Participate in meetings and workshops to share insights and contribute to the development of energy strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in energy management, sustainability, or a related field, preferably within the healthcare sector.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency technologies, renewable energy principles, and sustainability practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and energy management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
