We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fish Hatchery Manager to oversee the operations of a telecommunications-based fish hatchery facility in Al Ain. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of fish hatchery operations, including breeding, feeding, monitoring water quality, and ensuring the health and welfare of the fish population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement breeding programs to ensure optimal fish production
- Monitor water quality and environmental conditions to maintain a healthy fish population
- Supervise and train staff in fish husbandry techniques and best practices
- Manage inventory of fish stock and supplies
- Implement and maintain biosecurity protocols to prevent disease outbreaks
- Collaborate with researchers and scientists to implement new technologies and advancements in fish hatchery operations
- Ensure compliance with all local regulations and industry standards
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Aquaculture, Fisheries Management, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in fish hatchery management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of fish biology, nutrition, and health
- Experience with water quality monitoring and management
- Familiarity with biosecurity protocols and disease prevention strategies
