Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Import Specialist Assistant to join our dynamic team in the real estate sector based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will support the import operations of our organization and ensure that all transactions comply with legal regulations and company policies. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing industry and contribute to our success in managing international imports related to real estate projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Import Specialist in coordinating and managing the importation of real estate materials and supplies, including but not limited to construction materials, furnishings, and equipment.
- Prepare and review import documentation, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, including customs declarations, bills of lading, and invoices.
- Liaise with suppliers, shipping companies, and customs officials to facilitate the timely clearance of imported goods.
- Maintain accurate records of all import transactions and related documentation, ensuring that all files are organized and easily accessible.
- Monitor shipments and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders regarding import status, delays, or issues that may arise during transit.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations regarding import activities, costs, and efficiency metrics.
- Support the Import Specialist in negotiating shipping rates and terms with freight forwarders and suppliers to optimize costs.
- Stay updated on changes to import regulations and trade policies that may impact the organization’s operations.
- Collaborate with other departments, including procurement, finance, and operations, to streamline the import process and ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Conduct research on potential new suppliers and logistics partners to improve the supply chain and import processes.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in import/export operations, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably within the real estate sector.
- Strong understanding of customs regulations and import documentation requirements in the UAE.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with import management software.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with vendors and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
